High-Performance, Quick-Setting, Deformable Cementitious Adhesive for Ceramic and Stone Tiles

Mapei Keraquick S1 is a high-performance, rapid-setting, deformable (S1) cementitious adhesive with no vertical slip, suitable for the installation of ceramic tiles, porcelain, and moisture-stable natural stone. Classified as C2FT S1 under EN 12004, it is ideal for both interior and exterior applications, including floors and walls, where quick setting and high bond strength are required.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure substrates are sound, clean, and free from dust, grease, or other contaminants.
2. Mixing: Mix 100 parts of Keraquick S1 powder with 24–26 parts by weight of water until a homogeneous, lump-free paste is obtained.
3. Application: Apply the adhesive using a suitable notched trowel to achieve the desired thickness.
4. Tile Installation: Press tiles firmly into the adhesive bed within the open time to ensure full contact.
5. Grouting: Joints can be grouted after 2–3 hours using a suitable Mapei grout.

Limitations

• Not suitable for substrates subject to rising damp.
• Do not use on metal, rubber, PVC, or linoleum surfaces.
• For installations over plywood, mix Keraquick S1 with Latex Plus to achieve S2 classification.
