Showerproof Acrylic-Based Tile Adhesive with Enhanced Grab and Slip Resistance

EVERBUILD® 701 Non Slip Tile Adhesive is a ready-mixed, acrylic-based adhesive designed for securing ceramic and porcelain wall tiles and mosaics in interior settings. Its superior non-slip properties and high bond strength make it ideal for bathroom and kitchen applications, including domestic showers when used with Everbuild Powdered Wall Tile Grout.

Product Details

• Packaging: Available in 3.75 kg, 7.5 kg, and 14 kg tubs.

• Open Time: 20–30 minutes at 20°C.
• Curing Time: 24–72 hours, depending on substrate and conditions.
• Coverage: Approximately 0.6 m²/kg with a 6 mm notched trowel; 0.5 m²/kg for solid bed application.
• Shelf Life: 12 months in unopened containers stored between +5°C and +25°C.

Application Instructions

1. Surface Preparation: Ensure surfaces are clean, dry, and sound. Porous surfaces, including plaster, should be primed with Everbuild® 503 SBR Bond diluted 1:3 with water and allowed to dry.
2. Application: Apply adhesive to the wall at a depth of 3–6 mm, covering no more than 1 m² at a time.
3. Dry Areas: Use a suitable notched trowel to comb the adhesive before placing tiles.
4. Wet Areas: Do not use a notched trowel; instead, bed tiles directly into the adhesive.
5. Tile Placement: Press tiles firmly with a slight twist to ensure full contact. Periodically check that at least 75% of the tile is covered with adhesive.
6. Cleaning: Remove excess adhesive while still wet using a damp cloth or sponge, especially along grout lines.

Limitations

• For wall applications only; not suitable for floors.
• Not suitable for areas subject to rising or penetrating damp.
• Not recommended for swimming pools or external use.
• Do not apply to damp surfaces.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Cured adhesive must be removed mechanically.
