High-Performance, Biodegradable Release Agent for Concrete Formwork

EVERBUILD® 206 Strike Release Oil is a premium-quality, water-based chemical release agent designed to facilitate the easy removal of concrete shuttering, leaving clean and well-formed edges. Its solvent- and mineral oil-free emulsion is based on biodegradable synthetic oil, making it environmentally friendly and suitable for various mould materials.

Key Features & Benefits

  • Biodegradable & Eco-Friendly: Formulated without solvents or mineral oils, reducing environmental impact.
  • Versatile Application: Suitable for use on moulds made from wood, metal, polypropylene, ABS, polyurethane, and other plastics susceptible to damage by conventional release agents.
  • High-Quality Finish: Produces a stain- and blemish-free concrete surface with minimal blowholes.
  • Excellent Adhesion: Clings effectively to vertical mould surfaces, ensuring consistent coverage.
  • Protects Formwork: Guards against steel corrosion and early ageing, extending the lifespan of moulds.
  • Ready to Use: No dilution required; apply directly by spray, brush, or roller.

Ideal For

  • Smooth non-absorbent formwork.
  • Absorbent formwork.
  • Heated formwork (up to 70°C).
  • Textured formwork.

Product Details

  • Packaging: 5-litre plastic jerry can.
  • Appearance: White liquid.
  • Density: Approximately 0.97 g/cm³.
  • pH Value: 8.0 ± 1.0.
  • Coverage:
    • 50–60 m²/litre for steel and plastic.
    • 40–50 m²/litre for coated plywood.
    • 20–30 m²/litre for untreated timber.
  • Shelf Life: 6 months from the date of manufacture when stored in undamaged, unopened original containers.
  • Storage Conditions: Store in dry conditions at temperatures between +5°C and +25°C. Protect from direct sunlight and frost. If frozen and/or if precipitation has occurred, the product may be used after thawing slowly at room temperature followed by intensive remixing.

Application Instructions

  1. Surface Preparation: Ensure all formwork is clean and dry, with any residues of rust or concrete removed.
  2. Application: Stir thoroughly before use. Apply undiluted using a spray, brush, or roller, ensuring a thin and even coverage.
  3. Drying Time: Allow an evaporation period of 20 minutes at +20°C before casting concrete.
  4. Note: Avoid over-application, which can result in dusting of the concrete surface. Any excess material in the bottom of the moulds should be mopped up prior to the placement of the concrete.

Limitations

  • Apply only a thin film; overdosing may cause dusting.
  • For new and unsealed timbers or other highly absorbent formwork, pre-treatment is recommended with a second coat prior to use.

Cleaning of Tools

Clean tools and equipment with water immediately after use. Cured material must be removed mechanically.
